Taxi Software Pricing: Compare the Real Monthly Cost

Taxi software pricing generally follows one of two models: a flat monthly subscription, or a commission taken from every fare. CabZen uses a flat monthly fee only, with every feature available on both plans and nothing charged per ride.

Understand the pricing models behind taxi booking and dispatch software so you can compare monthly subscription, commission, setup, and add-on costs fairly.

Frequently asked questions

View all FAQs →
What are the two common pricing models?

A flat monthly subscription, where you pay the same regardless of volume, or a commission model, where the provider takes a percentage of every fare. The second gets more expensive the busier you become. CabZen uses the first.

What is included in the monthly price?

Every feature, on both plans. Online booking, all three dispatch modes, driver management, the native driver app, payments, the website builder and the partner portal. The plans differ only in how many drivers are included.

What costs extra?

Drivers beyond your plan allowance, additional booking brands, branded apps as a one-off, email top-ups beyond the monthly allowance, and optional add-ons such as the AI chat agent or CabZen X. All are opt-in.

Are there setup fees?

Not for setting up yourself, which most operators do. If you would rather we configured your account, core pricing and booking page for you, that is available as an optional one-off charge.

Does the price change as I grow?

Only by driver count. Bookings are unlimited, so taking twice as much work next month costs no more. Adding drivers costs a small amount each per month, and moving between plans takes effect at your next billing cycle.

Is there a contract?

No. It is month to month, cancel any time, with no cancellation fee. Your data is retained for a period after cancellation so you can export it rather than losing access the moment you stop.

What about card processing fees?

Those are charged by your payment provider, not by us. If you connect Stripe, Square or Mollie, their standard rates apply to card transactions. Cash and account work carries no processing fee at all.

How should I compare this against other quotes?

Work out your realistic monthly turnover and apply any commission percentage to it, then compare that figure with a flat subscription. Also check what sits behind higher tiers elsewhere, since features split across plans change the real cost.
