Getting Started

What is CabZen?

CabZen is an all-in-one taxi and private hire booking platform. It gives you a branded online booking page, dispatch dashboard, driver management, job auction system, native mobile apps, customer database, and payment processing — everything you need to run your business online from day one.

How quickly can I get set up?

Most companies are up and running within 5–10 minutes. Sign up, add your drivers, set your pricing, and share your booking page. No technical knowledge required.

Do I need to install anything?

No. CabZen is entirely web-based — no software to install, no servers to manage. Works on any computer, tablet, or phone. Your drivers use the native CabZen Driver app (free, available on iOS and Android).

Do my customers need to download an app?

No. Customers book through your branded booking page in any web browser — no download needed. If you want a native passenger app under your own brand, that's available as an optional add-on from £500 one-off.

Trial & Pricing

How long is the free trial?

7 days, full access to all features including the job auction system. No credit card required.

What happens when my trial ends?

You'll be prompted to subscribe to continue. All your data, drivers, bookings, and settings are kept — nothing is deleted.

How much does CabZen cost?

Starter at £32/month (5 drivers included) and Business at £42/month (20 drivers included). Both include every feature. Extra drivers are £1/driver/month. View full pricing →

Do you take commission on my rides?

Never. Unlike Uber or Bolt, we don't take a percentage of your fares. You keep 100% of what you earn. We only charge the flat monthly subscription fee.

Are there any long-term contracts?

No. Month-to-month only. Cancel anytime, no cancellation fees, no questions asked.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes, upgrade or downgrade between Starter and Business at any time. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle.

Features

How does the job auction system work?

When a booking comes in, you can send it to a timed auction. Your drivers receive an email with a magic link — they place a bid for the amount they want to take home for that job. The bid that meets or beats your reserve price wins, and the driver is automatically assigned. You can set auctions to trigger automatically on booking confirmation, or launch them manually per job. You can also extend, close early, or cancel from your auction dashboard.

What dispatch modes are available?

Three modes, switchable per vehicle type: Manual — you assign jobs yourself from the dispatch board. Auto-Dispatch — the system automatically assigns based on driver availability and queue. Auction — jobs go to a timed bid. You can switch modes at any time from your dispatch page.

What payment methods can I accept?

Stripe, Square, and Mollie for online card payments. You can also track cash and account jobs. Full payment history, invoicing, and reporting included.

Do drivers get their own app?

Yes. The CabZen Driver app is a full native iOS and Android app — free to download for all your drivers. They can view jobs, accept/reject, update status, and track shifts. If you want a fully branded driver app under your own company name, that's a one-off £350 fee plus App Store registration fees.

Can I have a branded passenger app?

Yes. Branded passenger apps (iOS and Android) are available as an add-on from £500 one-off, plus Apple/Google app store registration fees. These are full native apps published under your company name.

Can I set my own pricing?

Yes. Distance-based rates, fixed-price routes, minimum fares, night and weekend surcharges, holiday surcharges, location-based surcharges, meet & greet fees, car seat add-ons — complete control over your pricing structure.

Can I run multiple booking brands from one account?

Yes. You can add extra booking platforms to your account for £15/month each. Each platform has its own booking page, pricing, and branding — great for operators running separate brands like standard taxi, executive transfers, or airport transfers.

Does CabZen have a website builder?

Yes. There's a built-in CMS with professional templates, custom domain support, and unlimited pages. Your booking widget is embedded directly so customers can book without leaving your website.

Does CabZen send notifications?

Yes. 100 emails/month are included free — they work immediately with no setup. You can customise email templates to match your brand and optionally verify your own domain to send from your company email address. Top up email credits for £5 per 500 emails. SMS notifications are also available.

Can customers track their booking?

Yes. Customers receive a confirmation with a tracking link showing real-time booking status — from confirmed, through driver on the way, to completed.

Technical & Security

Is my data secure?

Yes. Each CabZen account has its own completely isolated database — your data is never mixed with other companies'. All connections are encrypted with SSL/TLS.

Do I get my own subdomain?

Yes. You choose your own subdomain on sign-up (e.g. yourcompany.cabzen.app). You can also point your own custom domain once your subscription is active.

Can I use Google Analytics and Google Ads?

Yes. CabZen has built-in GA4 and Google Ads conversion tracking. Enter your tracking IDs in settings and they're automatically added to your booking pages.

Can I embed the booking form on my own website?

Yes. CabZen provides an embeddable booking widget you can add to any existing website with a single line of code. Your customers never need to leave your site to book.
