Frequently asked questions

View all FAQs →
What does taxi booking software actually do?

It handles the whole journey from enquiry to payment. Customers get a price and book online, the job appears on your dispatch board, a driver is assigned, the customer is kept updated, and the fare is recorded against your reporting. CabZen covers all of that in one account.

How much does taxi booking software cost?

CabZen is a flat monthly subscription with no commission taken from any fare. Both plans include every feature, and the only difference between them is how many drivers are included. Extra drivers can be added at any time for a small monthly amount each.

Do I need a website already?

No. Every account comes with a branded booking page on your own address, so you can take online bookings without a separate website. If you already have one, you can embed the booking widget into it instead, or run both at the same time.

How long does it take to get set up?

Most operators complete the basics in under an hour: company details, vehicle types, pricing and one driver. You can go live at that point and refine surcharges, fixed routes and notifications later. A done-for-you setup service is available if you would rather not do it yourself.

Can I keep taking bookings by phone?

Yes. Online booking sits alongside your existing phone work rather than replacing it. Office staff can enter phone bookings straight into the same dispatch board, so every job lives in one place regardless of how it came in.

What happens to my existing customer list?

You can bring existing customers in and keep their booking history against their record. Because customers book directly with you rather than through a marketplace, their details stay in your account and remain yours if you ever decide to leave.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. The booking page and the dispatch dashboard both work in any modern browser on desktop, tablet or phone, so you can run the office from a laptop and check jobs from your phone. Drivers use the separate CabZen Driver app.

Can I try it before committing?

Yes. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial with all features unlocked and no credit card required. You can run real bookings during the trial, and if you subscribe afterwards everything you configured and every booking you took is kept.
