Frequently asked questions

View all FAQs →
Is CabZen suitable for licensed private hire operators?

Yes. It is built around pre-booked work rather than street hail, which matches how licensed private hire operates. Bookings are recorded with pickup, drop-off, time, vehicle type and fare, giving you a clear record of every job you have accepted and completed.

Can I record driver licence and insurance expiry dates?

Yes. Each driver record holds licence numbers, expiry dates and uploaded documents, so you can see at a glance who is due for renewal. Drivers can upload their own documents through the app, which saves the office chasing paperwork.

Does it handle account customers and invoicing?

Yes. You can set up corporate accounts, allocate bookings to them, and generate invoices covering a period rather than charging per journey. Account work sits alongside cash and card jobs on the same dispatch board.

Can I run different pricing for different services?

Yes. Pricing is configured per vehicle type, so a saloon, an estate and an executive car can each carry their own rates. On top of that you can add fixed routes, minimum fares, and surcharges for nights, weekends and holidays.

How do customers know their driver is on the way?

Customers receive a confirmation with a tracking link, and the status updates as the job progresses from confirmed through to driver on the way and completed. That removes most of the calls asking where the car is.

Can I run more than one brand from one account?

Yes. Additional booking platforms can be added for a small monthly fee each, and every platform has its own booking page, pricing and branding. Operators commonly use this to separate standard local work from executive or airport transfer brands.

What happens to bookings if I stop subscribing?

Your data is retained for a period after cancellation so you can export it, and nothing is deleted the moment you stop paying. Because customers book directly with you, your customer relationships and records remain yours throughout.

Do I need technical knowledge to run it?

No. Setup is done through normal settings screens, with no servers to manage and nothing to install. Most operators configure their own account, and a paid setup service is available if you would rather have it done for you.
