Frequently asked questions

View all FAQs →
Is the driver app free?

Yes. The CabZen Driver app is included with your subscription and free for every driver on your account, however many you have. There is no per-seat charge, so adding drivers does not add an app cost on top of your plan.

Is it a real app or a web page?

It is a native iOS and Android app installed from the App Store or Google Play, not a website in a browser. That matters for reliability of background location and notifications while a driver is working.

How do drivers get set up?

You add the driver in your dashboard, they install the app and connect using your company code. There is no separate account creation for them to complete and nothing for you to configure on their device.

What can drivers do in the app?

Start and end shifts, see assigned and upcoming jobs with pickup and drop-off, accept or reject offers, update job status as they progress, view their hours and earnings, and upload compliance documents such as licence renewals.

Does the app track drivers all the time?

No. Location is only shared while a driver has an active shift running, between them starting and ending it. Once a driver clocks off, nothing is tracked in the background, which drivers tend to care about a good deal.

Can I get an app with my own branding?

Yes. A fully branded driver app under your own name and logo is available as a one-off add-on, published to the App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google charge their own developer registration fees separately.

What if a driver changes phone?

They install the app on the new device and connect with the same company code and login. Their job history, earnings and documents are held against their account rather than the handset, so nothing is lost in the move.

Do drivers need the app to receive auction jobs?

No. Auction invitations are also sent by email with a magic link, so a driver can place a bid without opening the app or logging in. That is useful for drivers who are not on shift but would take the right job.
