By the hour.Paid up front.Dispatched your way.
CabZen is chauffeur booking software for executive car and private hire companies. Clients book as-directed hire by the hour or a fixed-price transfer on your own site, pay by card, and the job lands on a dispatch board built for hand-picked drivers. Included in every plan, from £35 a month, no commission.
No credit card required · Hourly booking on from day one · Cancel anytime
A client booking four hours as directed, start to paid, on the By the hour tab.
How an as-directed booking runs, end to end
Four steps, none of them a phone call. The client knows the price before they book, and you know the job is paid before you assign it.
Client picks pickup, time and hours
Pickup with address autocomplete, date and time within your booking window, and a duration stepper in 30-minute steps up to twelve hours. Your minimum hours apply automatically.
Chooses a class, sees the flat price
Each class shows its hourly rate, included mileage and live total. Hours multiplied by rate, never less than the minimum. No excess mileage surprise after the trip.
Pays by card, booking lands pending
Checkout runs through your Stripe, Square or Mollie account. The booking appears on your board as a paid, pending hourly job with "As directed" in place of a drop-off.
You confirm, then hand-pick the driver
Confirming moves it to the Chauffeur tab, separate from taxi work. Assign the driver you want. They see the hours, the pickup and the client, never the fare.
Pending to confirmed to assigned, on the Chauffeur dispatch tab.
Built for the way chauffeur firms actually work
Every screen below is the live product on a demo account, not a mock-up.
A widget that looks the part
Dark charcoal and gold or light ivory and bronze, serif headlines, your logo, headline and hero image. Embed it on your site or run it on your own domain.
Two rates per class, one minimum
An in-town and an out-of-town hourly rate on each class, with a shared minimum. Leave the second rate blank for a single tariff. Change it any time, live on the widget.
A dispatch tab just for chauffeur work
Confirmed hourly jobs sit on their own tab with a live badge, apart from any taxi or transfer flow. Manual assignment only, because these are the jobs you match by hand.
Phone bookings, same price engine
Take an hourly job over the phone on the operator form. It quotes exactly as the website does, and an override total covers the negotiated ones, written through to the invoice.
Set tours, or plan your own
Publish a catalogue of pre-planned hires, each priced per class or by your hourly rates. Optionally let clients add stops with dwell times and a final drop-off, and the widget tells them if the hours fit.
Executive transfers on the same widget
Airport runs and point-to-point work use the Transfer tab: fixed routes, distance pricing, meet and greet, flight tracking and return journeys. One booking page covers the whole business.
Every job, properly recorded
The booking keeps a snapshot of the rate, hours, tier and included mileage it was sold at, so invoices and driver pay never drift when you change your prices later.
Pay split for hotel and partner jobs
Fix your operator percentage, decide whether the driver or you carry the hotel's commission, and set defaults for extras. Driver pay and partner statements come out right every time.
Your rates, your minimums, your mileage
Chauffeur pricing is simple on purpose. The client sees one number and pays it. You decide what goes into that number, per class, in a settings page you can change between jobs.
Rates changed in Settings, live on the widget seconds later.
Hotel jobs, with the split already worked out
Concierges and hotel desks book for guests through their own portal, with their margin on top. Pay split then divides every partner job between you and the driver by a rule you set once, so nobody is reconciling at the end of the month.
Sell the day out, not just the drive
Whisky trails, city highlights, golf transfers with a stop for lunch. Publish them as set tours with a fixed price per class or your hourly rates, or let clients plan their own with stops and dwell times. The widget checks the hours fit the plan before they pay.
A set tour booked from the catalogue, with class pricing.
Drivers see the job, not the fare
The free CabZen Driver app shows an hourly job as the pickup, the client, the booked hours and "As directed". Drivers see their own pay cut, never the client price. Shifts, hours and earnings are tracked for you, and settlements run weekly or monthly with a Monzo-ready payout file.
One flat fee. Hourly booking included.
No commission on bookings, no per-job fees, no separate chauffeur module. Pick a plan by the number of drivers.
Prices in GBP. Extra drivers, extra brands and branded apps are optional add-ons on the pricing page.
What chauffeur operators ask before they switch
Is hourly, as-directed booking included or an add-on?
Included in every plan. Set an hourly rate and a minimum on each vehicle class and the By the hour tab appears on your booking page and widget. There is no separate chauffeur module to buy.
How is an hourly booking priced?
Flat: the booked hours (never less than your minimum) multiplied by the class rate, shown live as the customer adjusts the duration. The customer pays the full amount up front by card, so there is no settling-up after the trip.
Can I charge a different rate outside my city?
Yes. Each class can carry an in-town and an out-of-town hourly rate. The customer picks the tier on the form, and both tiers share the same minimum hours.
What happens when a customer books by the hour?
The booking lands on your dispatch board as pending. Confirm it and it moves to the Chauffeur tab, where you hand-pick the driver. The driver sees "As directed" with the booked hours instead of a drop-off address.
Can I take hourly bookings over the phone?
Yes. Operators have their own hourly booking form in the admin, priced by the same engine as the public widget, with an override total for negotiated jobs.
Do hotel-sourced jobs work?
Yes. Hotels and concierges get a partner portal to book for guests. Pay split lets you fix the operator percentage and the driver share on each partner job, so statements add up without a spreadsheet.
Can I still sell airport and point-to-point transfers?
Yes. The Transfer tab on the same widget runs your fixed-route and distance pricing, meet and greet extras, flight tracking and return journeys exactly as a transfer company would use them.
Can I offer set tours?
Yes. Transfer tours let you publish a catalogue of pre-planned hires, priced per class or by your hourly rates, and optionally let customers plan their own with stops and dwell times.
Can clients pay a deposit or on account instead of the full amount?
Yes. Take a deposit with the balance due later, pre-authorise the card and capture after the trip, or invoice corporate and personal account customers monthly. Full upfront card payment is the default because it suits most hourly work.
Does it look premium enough for executive clients?
The chauffeur widget ships in a dark charcoal-and-gold preset and a light ivory-and-bronze preset, with your logo, headline and hero image. It embeds in your own site or runs on your own domain.
